Are you the Gamekeeper in this Dido?

I wouldn't say that....we had more sausage rolls than pheasants 🤣

Edited to say...I've just watched the trailer 🤣

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Tonight

for her, chicken breast stuffed with garlic butter and chestnut mushrooms, rapped in prosciutto and covered in panko breadcrumbs, wedges with a little bit of onion powder and garlic salt, green beans, carrots and baby corn cooked in a butter emulsion ( not what I would of put with it, but it’s what she wanted)

for me, Murgh Kari ( chicken curry ) nice but the spice hits you after you have eaten it, first time making it and I might of got a bit carried away with the cayenne

Delia Smith has gone on record saying that anyone who uses white pepper is common and not a cook.....i use white and black pepper all the time.......yorkshire puds and gravy made from the juices of the beef ..would not work without white pepper......white pepper and salt for my boiled egg .....

needless to say after the pic was taken....white pepper was applied

the spode is going nowhere...its just ive been looking at it for over 50 years that and bloody "eternal bow" which my wife bought and i hated....

now both are gone

  1. i can cook and eat what i want
  2. i can have plates that i want
  3. and i can put pepper black and white on what i want
  4. (and i can burp without recrimination after a nice meal)

Do you know that packet of 6 chicky thighs was only £3.50 at the co-op...its cheaper than our homegrown vedge..!!

cheers for you comment :good:

You guys are very predictable unless you are Mackem. Now, I have a muntjac, just skinned, hanging. Give me your best shot at a gourmet dinner. Mindful of the fact that I’ve been cooking venison for quite a few years. Jok.

That looks like something they charge £80 for in London.
