No problem detecting wet sand its more like fine gravel on Beesands. Not much good and bloody hot, Pound coin, bullet casing, some fishing weights and lots of aluminium nuggets. Years ago there was a caravan park on the green above the beach, reckon the Aluminium is from burning some old vans when it packed up. I just cant sit in the sun need the detector or a rod. lol.

Cheers Arry

i found a lots alloy blobs on south coast Arry, some one told me during ww2 aborted RAF missions when returning with insendry bombs they would dump payload in English channel as were not allowed to land carrying these bombs.

I have no idea if thats correct, burning old caravans sounds more believable.

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...
