Greyman 28,282 Posted June 8, 2023 Report Share Posted June 8, 2023 I think it’s more the time of year that affects the taste, simply because in cold weather they just lay up on the bottom and taste like shit in the warmer weather they seem to be in the upper layers and taste a lot better, nothing scientific there mind just my own observations, used to get a pound a piece for trout round the pubs and could always sell more than you got but nowadays everything has to be wrapped in polythene and dressed for you 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
