I wonder, would turning off all the computers that are running windows have a greater effect on greenhouse emissions than people stopping eating beef, just some food for thought, pun intended

Ken's Deputy 4,459
What's Cooking? Strictly speaking; Nothing, at the moment. But, having just got my vacuum sealing bag machine thingy, and having a shit ton of chick peas which are utterly inedible, without a twenty four hour soak, pre cooking? I can't really think of any compelling reason Not to go put a bucket of the fukkers in soak. Then, tomorrow, I can bag and freeze them Lot easier to microwave defrost a portion than wait twenty four hours for the things. Wish me luck!

Ken's Deputy 4,459
Don't even remind me!!! Long, long ago, when I was barely in my teens and wasn't very prone to thinking shit through; My mate and I decided to 'revisit our childhood' () and bought a Pea Shooter each and a pocket full of chick peas. We soon realised just how far a good puff could send those fukkers. And so we developed this 'game' of walking along a relatively busy pavement. Whipping out out blow killers and shooting a few peas at a time as far ahead of us as we could. Into the unsuspecting pedestrians ahead. What's that saying, about " It's only a game, till .... "? I'll never forget that poor little girl. Walking along with her dad. Suddenly clutching at her eye. By the time we strode past, she was inconsolable. FFS. Half a century has done fukk all to lessen the guilt I feel for that. Poor kid. 1
