R_Oldroyd 17
Hi Intrested to know what yoru thoughts are regarding buying the Blitz 800m Beam lamp. The standard model seems to be a reasonable price as far as i can tell. Would you bother with the viable power model or do you think its abit too expensive or do you think it is necessary to have one??? Paid 935
I use the standard blitz, and am very happy with it. Others preffer other lamps, but I've found after using the blitz for a year, all other lamps seem rubbish. Quote Link to post

welshhound2 20
used both the standard blitz and the new one but recon the new one is the the best so far more distance and a better beam, the dimmer on the lamp is great for walking bit step on the price side but worth thinking about Quote Link to post
ferret_uk 4
same with me scotty striker 170 with a 18amp twin belt battery pack and wouldnt look back Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
I own a 140 and 170, mate owns a 140 and a Blitz. We were just talking about dimmers tonight, reckoned that they were needed. Here's why, if you need to get a lot closer to a fox you can dim the lamp right down so that when you're shining it at the ground to see your way there's not a huge reflection off the ground lighting you up. So two votes for the dimmer here. Quote Link to post
salukixminshaw 1
we use a clue light with a red filter for spoting we let the dog run up with the clue light then put a blitz on for the run there mint for keeping things in the lamp Quote Link to post
Bush Rummager 4,552
I use the striker mate.... o.k, unless your lampimg BIG fields... ..... and BIG rabbits!, Quote Link to post
Guest coney catcher99
i got all the lightforce range and you wont beat the blitz well horses for courses i suppose Quote Link to post
IanB 0
I've got the striker 170, and the blitz with variable power, I use the blitz out of the car, but given the choice of the two I'd always go with the striker 170... the variable power is handy but, defintely not essential... R_Oldroyd 17
It's sounds to me that the 170 is perefered by several of you chap. It does look much more portable and as I will only be using it on rabbit i'm not that sure i need a blitz. Regards Roger. Quote Link to post
