Snarepeg 28
Just a few for Thursday pheasants, 30 gram 6s, just hope there's a bit of wind to help get the second shot away (should I need it) the spinner head is pre WW1 and still makes a nice job. 5 Quote Link to post
Meece 1,957
WHUMPH. They look a good product. It don't matter how old the spinner is, It still does the job it was made for. And the people who have used it over the years and the stories and events of the cartridges that it has finished. Quote Link to post
Snarepeg 28
Yes it came of a Lightwood and son pedal powered so could have been late 1800s Quote Link to post
Meece 1,957
They made stuff well then. Age shall not weary it and at the going down of the sun the cartridges will still take on the flight Quote Link to post
Wyatt Baker 4
Great collections. Give an update about your shots. Quote Link to post
Snarepeg 28
They went BOOM, lots of smoke but breezy so no problem getting a second shot of. killed well the ones that got in the way of the shot column. Some of the guns tried them and were impressed. 1 Quote Link to post

.357shooter 1,177
it does give you a nice fuzzy feeling inside knowing something you hae made does the job.reloading whatever it is so satisfiying to be able to just make a few rounds at home instead of paying for ammo at a shop. philpot 4,967
Just as a matter of interest, take a look at the link which is an archive of gunmakers and on page 37, you will see a Lightwood FW who had a shop in Grimsby, Brigg and Market Rasen. As time went by, the shop in Brigg was known as Leonards which I think could have been originally Lightwoods, that shop was a reloading centre so my curiosity suggests they may be the makers of your spinner. You never know !!! https://archivingindustry.com/Gunsandgunmakers/directory-l.pdf By the way very nice finish to those cartridges Phil Quote Link to post
