Doctors receptionist's !

Iknow they do a good useful  job , and are great help to the doctor . But fook me , they should know what there job is , to day i wanted to speak to a  male doctor. i told the woman who he was,  i wanted the phone call with him ,  she said be after 1pm before he get back to me, said no prob. She said what was it you wanted to ask him, i said i tell him that 1pm, she said we have to know what the call is  for, i said again i tell him that 1pm . she said  is it  mental health, physical, i said pick what ever one  you  want lol , she put the phone down, as far as im concerned it be private between a doctor / patient , not feckin " receptionist " ,  i got my call at 1pm

 You're absolutely right there, Bird. In my view. I once handed over an envelope containing some sensitive, personal, information. Clearly stating - as was written on it - that it was for my GP.

On two occasions I had a run with doctors receptionists.  

First one, was with my son. He was only a week old and became ill, I was working and wife brought him to see the doc. She wouldn't let her see him, said she was just a young mother panicking. 

Son got worse in the middle of the night , doc callled and sent him in with a blocked gut. 

She lost her job over that.

Second time. 

I got a knife tip through the eye ball. 

Went to see the doctor, was told he was having a cuppa and had to wait. When came out and I told him what had happened, and wasn't happy to wait while he drank tea. He lost it with the receptionists. 

Some of these are worse than useless, their dangerous

I always say are you a doctor once they say no I just say that’s why I want to talk to him not you so he can see what the problem it.It’s call private and confidential for a reason not for the office to know.
