My local gunshop has stopped stocking them now as he is sick of sending them back under guarantee.
Daniel cain 46,109
Get him 2 pairs of these for that money greb... I use them for work and hunting, walked miles in them as they fit your feet like a pair of boots, won't slice them open like La chameau, warmest wellies I've ever worn, piss over the Dunlop performo and buckboots,

They normally last me 2 years but I don’t ware anything else day to day so they take plenty of punishment

They are totally different to my old Le Chameau mate, I had the neoprene lined with the full zip up the side and they were a pain in the arse. Zips went, socks were round your toes after 400 yds. Muck Boots are much heavier i Grant you but better imho

Digging all weekend in the season, there's nothing comes close for the money... Them muck boots have no support whatsoever imo.. Put them on, and your like bambi on ice lol... I get supplied a fresh pair of buckboots every yr for work.... If they don't get robbed from the dry room, then they don't last a 6 month

Greyman 28,911
Think we need to know what greb senior is doing in his footwear before we can start recommending things, some of the fishing wellies like skeetex are great for keeping you warm but shite if you want to walk any further than your car and unless your stood in water all day there are many more comfy boots than wellies and 150s can get you some nice footwear
Rickshaw swami 4,166
The man who created muck Boots sold the company a few years back and signed a no compete which has expired. He immediately started a new company with improved soles. They called dryshod. poxon 5,767
I’ve had a few pairs of muck boots over the years the first gen an second gen they seemed to of worked well enough only problem with them is if you put miles down regularly walking in them you pay the price in the end there way to heavy for any distance stuff and end up doing your nees damage it’s like walking with bricks strapped to your feet I’ll not wear wellies again I went through the last few seasons buying just ordinary walking boots had to get a new pair each season only cheap shit ones but all about the tactical type boots now as there light weight an seem better quality trying a pair of them viper venom boots out thought there just be talked up shite but not bad boots at all there comfortable, lightweight hardwareing an seem waterproof

FairPlay for walking 10 miles in wellies maybe it’s time to introduce him to Gortex mate, you could get him a nice pair of berg house, skarpa or north face in that price range, I wear gortex boots and gaiters keeps me warm and dry upto my knees

When he goes hiking he goes on the tops, Lakes, Peak District, North York Moors, etc.
