those look like the HIV lesions....get yourself checked out greb

Dig deeper and get him a pair of Le chameau

I think Hunters are overpriced and over rated.  You are basically paying for the name. Quality appears to have suffered since production moved to China; https://www.dailymail.co.uk/fema

Don't know what's the best (i use the Dunlop ones with steel toes) but i would stay away from the Jack Pyke neoprene. The pair i had were shite.

I get the Dunlop Purofort Thermos through work and although they keep you warm they rub the hell out of your heels which makes for an uncomfortable long walk.

these are very good (Le Chameau Unisex Ceres Neo Boot    they were £ 150, but down to £90 quid, they warm , brill tread, easy to get on and off, but the down size for me the weight= 1. 5 kg  =3lb , might not seem much , but couple ours walking them, i find them quite heavy, dont forget , your lumping 3lb extra  on your foot every step , like if wellie plastered in mud . dont know if all new wellies today are the same weight,?  have got a pair of Dunlop ones  are ok  there  1 lb lighter and cost  £ 55 quid

Le Chameau your socks ride down all the time.

I've had two pair of Muck Boots and the soles wore smooth very quickly and became dangerous. The neoprene snags and the rubber splits.

I found them no better than the Aldi ones, at a fraction of the price.

Cheers.

What ones did you have mate ?, the soles are different on different models.

Thats why I buy the chore, they have a proper deep grip sole ?

My missus bought me a pair once, they were about £70 back then, the real tree ones, don't know the model.

I got a pair off my brother, blue ones, supplied by his job, again, don't know the name.

I bought a pair of Aldi ones, £20, and couldn't see any difference.

Cheers

The ordinary muck boots with the shite sole are around £60-£70 but the chore are £90 - £120 and they are the one to go for ?

I will add that it depends on the terrain as well, if you are doing any amount of bramble bashing or rocky places then you are better off with decent boots and gaiters and give the wellies a miss
