Collie x whippet x greyhound is anybody breeding this type of all round working dog?

Sadly I don’t recon there be many all rounders produce from this cross but would make good fast rabbiters day/night

Not a dig at you personally mate, but when this type of lurcher is mentioned on here, tons of posts like yours will be said, or very similar, 'make good little rabbit dog, or nice little bunny basher/lamper', etc.  Facts are,  many of these types can be extremely useful on all quarry, fur and feather. A couple of the better dogs I've owned have been exactly this type, grey/collie/whippet, no other blood, and took all sorts of quarry day and night. Seen same types owned by others do the same. Bear in mind though, no red deer were taken with them though lol.

Might possibly be a case of some owners limiting these types 'in their own minds', ie 'you need a bull cross for that', or 'a sluki cross for that' etc etc.

I will say though, I can agree with you if some of these types throw a bit small though, but that's the same if any lurcher throws fairly small. ?

I like the traditional stuff my self I’m a bit rebellious to change from the traditional stuff to the modern stuff but I guess it’s a wager on the odds of anything these days not many f1 collie greyhound are up to much other than rabbits the cross is thin on the ground an not many whippet are more than rabbiters or a ferreters dog an not many collies are old school hard collies that are worked so guess all ingredients are pretty tough to come but sort of get what your saying but it’s easy to go out an get a sal bull greyhound there pretty much the ideal dog for hunting...that pained me to say that there tough, fast highly prey driven an don’t give a feck what your putting them on there try there hardest to catch or kill

Yep, these days it all seems to be finding the 'right sort' of dogs, whatever the breeding. ?
