Would of been happy with that coat in years gone by, Surprising the colours you get I,ve had a pied one, which was a good size country fox quite yellowish in colour with white legs like a dog in colour and a jet black one, the black one was tiny almost like a different species, have seen another black one that was simular but no pics he used to hang out near a wood I had cameras in but I never caught him although he would often be seen early morning by the horse riders
Ken's Deputy 4,460
Walshie; I've never used mine on Photo! If I want to show a 'photo', I just pause the clip and take a screen grab Here's what I like about vid, see? See how - at around 16 to 20 - he goes over to that bank? Well, blow me; There's a sort of half hole, right there. It caught my attention too and I had a close look at it! I wouldn't have missed foxy checking it out for the world! I've no idea what went wrong this morning though. Just my (Or 'Greymans') luck! This is all the evidence I managed to get of what's known, locally - in hushed whispers amongst those in the know, of course - as " The Poole Panther "! 1

I buy 12 for 20 dollars 8 go in one cam in September I won’t change the batteries til maybe January. Bear in mind from October the daytime temps are in the minus 10s dipping down to -30c of a night. You get plenty more mileage out of lithium’s. they are made for colder weather. I will NOT use any other battery buy once cry once

Ken's Deputy 4,460
Well; I've got mine out again, tonight. (Waits for the sniggering to subside) It's already as much a habit as hoping to learn anything new. Saying that though, it is - hopefully! - teaching me more about the controls. I've got the distance worked out now. At least for this model, on the present settings. I'll measure the exact feet, some time, and record them. See how fox vanishes into the blackness as he moves back from the cam? I know exactly where that is. I'll measure it all out, tomorrow. I'm not happy with the brightness levels yet though. Close to, foxy looks like an electrified frost fox. I want to sort that out. Think it's to do with the sensor level? I'd check the manual but - for those who don't know: This poxy, Linux, system's thrown a wobbler and I can't access shit now. I bought a new machine today. Give it a week and I hope to be back up. For now though, I stand to lose all my recent clips Thankfully, the most 'interesting' stuff I already loaded onto Vimeo, before shit went tits up. This system's, for the first time in my life, started seemingly severely limiting my 'Likes' allowance, by the way. Or I'm just enjoying some shit all the more lately? Either way, some cracking posts on here already
Ken's Deputy 4,460
You couldn't fukking make this up! Today, I just happened to stand up and glance out the window. There's foxy. Broad daylight. Nothing unusual in that. I'd earlier set the cam up and put his grub out. I'd set the Sensor (I think it was?) to Low. Trying that out. So, as I'm idly smiling at foxy, the fukker bolts in, right underneath the cam. Then rushes back up that familiar little electric fence line. And, as he does a sharp left; I see he's got something in his mouth! Now, picture it: He's running directly Away from me and the cam, right? So, it's only in that split second, as he hangs a left and vanishes behind the blocker of my hedge, that I get a glimpse of what he's got. And it was a mouthful. And I'm pretty bloody certain it had a long, bare tail hanging down too! " Fantastic! ", I thought. " He's just nabbed a rat for me. And I've got it all, broad daylight, so in gorgeous technicolour! Fukking great! " So elated was I that I dashed straight out there and grabbed the cam. Now a dash cam. See? Couldn't fukking believe it! Shot of my hand, as I put it on its post. Shot of me wandering out there and dumping his food on the ground. What the Fukk happened?!? It's back out there now. Sensor on High. I think I might bring it in, in an hour. Have a look. Record shows that foxy's always here soon after dark. And he's probably been back since, in the daylight. Hey ho. It's a learning curve. Pretty much the purpose of this thread. So we might learn from each others fukk ups, as well as classic clips.

Ken's Deputy 4,460
Good, actually. Because I mainly get night footage (And, believe me, I get Hours of that! No one wants to see a constant stream of fox clips though, obviously) It's been tricky to discern if I'm always looking at the same fox. Funny. I went out there, today, to give them their breakfast. Looked down across the meadow and there's the bugger, sitting there waiting! They've got my number now
