CO2 rifles

Recommended Posts

Go easy on me, I don't often venture onto this section!!

Thinking of getting a CO2 air rifle, have lot of rats coming into cattle shed this week. I have a pcp I never use because its never filled up. The idea of the little co2 cans appeal to me, but are they much good? Literally just talking 15-20 you rats in a big shed, that's it. Can anyone recommend one? Cheers

Would be cheaper to fill the pcp.

Yeah that is a potential but then I'll end up here again, maintain the dive bottle etc. Just think co2 be easier for occasional use.

Co2 guns have fluctuation in power with temperature Ben, fixed loads with leaking seals mainly because there a bit of a budget gun... but for 15/20yrd rats there fine, don’t expect them to put pellet on pellet at 40yrd though!

I've used a Chinese one in the past and it was ok. Took all sorts with it.

The power/temperature thing isn't much of an issue at rating distances really, not unless you are shooting rapid numerous targets at distance then maybe.

They mostly do seem to  be toy like in construction now bar a couple of Chinese  ones.

Would I go back there, not really Ben.  My little break barrel has it covered.
