Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Worked through it myself ,banging head ache and the cough but no lack of taste etc . We’ve been fed a good un no matter what stance you take on it and I’m not sure life will ever be the same again if I’m honest . Building site near me ( nothing to do with my work ) is saying no jab ,no work in 2021 ? . Buying the jab ahead of the queue is getting very real .

Understandable but if I'm honest, with or without Covid, my life hasn't changed a great deal other than the fact I cover my nose and mouth when I'm out and about. I rarely eat out. I don't go into bars, and clubs, anymore. I haven't even had a beer at home for the last few months as my work schedule hasn't given me the time. I do understand that I'm not normal though! I choose to live very deliberately in the sense that I stay out of the f*ck*ng way and mind my own f*ck*ng business. I fully understand that those that are super connected to modern living are having a rough time of it and that we won't realise the full knock on effect from these continuing restrictions. That said. Practically every business in my nearest city is struggling to fill vacancies for employment and their starting rates are going up sharply. Sure, these aren't careers but work is plentiful at rates almost double this time last year. No jab no work I can see becoming more prevalent in 2021. Personally I don't have an issue with that. You still have the choice and everyone's rights are still intact. Don't want one? Don't get one. You're free to choose but you're also free to accept the reactions to those actions. Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Apparently it’s no good getting tested if you’ve had it and I’m not sure what the crack is with the antibodies test as every time I’ve asked at our local pharmacist I get fobbed off with they can’t get hold of them .Phoned health service who said contact local pharmacy ? From my understand he didn't say he had but thought he may have as his symptoms matched. I was the same. It's purely anecdotal but there was no covid test when we were both sick and antibody tests aren't easy to come by.

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
A third payment for the affected self employed is now available .Just a heads up for anyone in the shit like a few subbies I know . Gov now insisting you keep records to justify payment but I’m sure lack of money going into bank is evidence enough .

My mate reckons he must have had it last December as was very ill and thought he was going to die. His whole factory came down with the same thing.

Agreed mate. We're seeing the same over here but now we're raising the spectre of the last couple of decades of management at the public level. I haven't seen it from the ground level in the UK but it appears that your great leaders are bumbling along the same as ours. Dumping unbacked money into the trough and making it up as they go along. Without deliberately attempting to steer the thread into yet another political discussion the coming change should also filter up to the management level and reflect that doing the same thing we have for decades isn't applicable in 2021. Change isn't inherently bad but it needs to be top down. We've all had our wallets emptied while they decide where that money goes and once the expenses sheet has been filled we can either turn the page and keep filling it in, or we can do what the bank would do to us. Cut us off.
