Like them old violin's some are worth a fortune..

Thanks for taking the time to do that. It doesn’t have a real quality feel to it, but who knows. Watched a guy tidying one up on youtube earlier, so will maybe have a go at it over the holidays.

What ever you do don’t sand it back and varnish it, only to discover it’s a Stradivarius a few years down the line, I’d get it stringed up and have a look on YouTube for some free lessons and give it a go, ?

Guy local here lived in england for years . He bought a violin or that type of instrument in a brick a brack shop and messed about a bit with it . Took it to get it fixed a bit and found out through that it was worth a small fortune.  He sold it and bought a place round here mid 90's with the money

Nice bit of luck that fair play..

I used to like watching antiques roadshow.and often wonder how many valuable things have been thrown in skips over the years.like them ming vases etc..

Yeah bet theirs tonnes of stuff binned . Thing is most of the expensive stuff looks minging , no wonder people throw it
