My Mrs son is autistic pretty bad he's 5 and hardly speaks only a dozen or so words like food etc when he hungry he goes to a mainstream school but has a dedicated support there as people have said he lines everything up colour coded the lot. He rarely interacts with me unless he feels the need to he generally just does his own thing also definitely can relate to diet and things like that he will STARVE if you tried to make him eat what he doesn't want to I don't know how she copes being a level 5 nurse she only works bit more than part time and really doesn't get any help as she just earns over the limit but she type to carry on struggling rather than push to try and get help so be interesting to hear what if any other people get in regards to help.

She does need help she get a little girl nearly 3 as well and the lads up at 4 every morning hardly ever sleeps through the night then goes to work on an orthopedic ward. his dad barely has him or the daughter and never together and she seems like if she earned£50 less a month she'd get maybe more help with nursery fees for the little girl it's bloody sad to see a decent young woman doing everything right and gets hardly any help but people play on things and get everything?

Do the rich REALLY eat healthier ?

They may have the money to make the CHOICE of eating healthier, but many of them suffer from what were once called "Rich mans disease" gout, heart disease, high blood pressure, and no wonder when you see the multi course banquettes they eat.

Then you've got the likes of Trump, famous for the amount of burgers he eats, and look at the food that was taken in for the politicians  discussing Brexit, loads of pizzas !

I think age has a lot to do with healthy eating, not money, just look at the people in a supermarket checkout line; not allways, but usually, the younger mother's trolleys will be full of bottles of coke, chicken dippers, crisps, chocolate, while the older people will have fruit, veg, meat etc.

I have nephews and nieces that live virtually on take outs,  while the missus and I cook most of our food.

I guess it's an age thing.

Cheers.

Im of the opinion that the only way wealth truly comes into play in regards to health/life expectancy and suchlike is private healthcare......the average man in the street gets a pain in his belly, waits a week for an appointment,3 months for an mri....another few weeks for treatment etc etc....whereas if you can afford to you get that pain in your belly checked out this aftenoon, mri tomorrow and treatment on Monday......money just enables you to keep better check on your health in my opinion.....and the first sign of trouble bang, its treated.

Food wise we all make conscious decisions what we put in our bodies i dont see wealth playing any part in that whatsoever.

Sorry lads, but I have never been a professional victim and I have not heard many other people who have children with autism crack on like that either.

What does playing the pansy little blame game achieve ?

Its not going to make my boy put on a t shirt with a label in or not change his fork for every single different item on his plate.

Its not going to stop Blackmags boy feeling frustrated and getting angry at situations he finds overwhelming.

Downsouth daughter isn’t suddenly going to become some gregarious outgoing type.

Our kids are special in their own way and I wouldn’t change it for the world, I’m a better person because of my little lad and I’m sure all the other dads would say the same.

Finding a “why” achieves nothing because personally I don’t even care.

If you want to have a conversation about the breakdown of family, values, eating habits and why 2 parents have to work and we are being fed mass produced shit then we can do that and it’s very relevant.

But it’s not relevant to Autism.

Good post that....powerful.

Couldn't read all 18 pages so may have missed some stuff.weve two boys on the spectrum.both different in there own way.they keep is busy.wouldnt change them for the world but I did see something about a vaccine a few pages back.my own opinion on it is based on the younger lad.we have videos of him saying his name singing the usual baby stuff at 10 11 months old.shortly after his last injection he regressed and was none verbal until last year.even now at 5 he has limited words and still uses pictures to help communicate.my opinion on it with all he's videos before and after the vaccination is that it's what caused it.ive had more meetings with doctors and specialists telling me there opinion but il stick to mine.not looking for a debate or argument I'm not one of these tinfoil hat lads either but that's my thoughts on it..

That's very similar to the american programme I watched a few yrs ago mate.

What's the boys like around the dogs and the dogs around the boys.would you say the dogs can sense something different about the boys.
