That’s because they were grown women dressed as school girls not the other way round mate, ain’t about being sensitive nowadays, kids are the most valuable thing on the planet and to take away there childhood for your own pleasure should only be punishable by death regardless of what decade it was ?

Yeah I get that mate, but you just wouldn’t have those ‘school disco’ nights now only 10 + years on. Things have changed because we are much more sensitive to even the slightest suggestion.

Crime against children has always been & will always remain the worst thing man can do. But that’s not the point of the thread.

It’s f***ing Wrong and anybody with any good in them would know that. And to try and normalise it is even worse.

thats what i thought this thread was about when i read the title ....actual comedy ...not these lot with the silly back and forth argument... in my humble opinion ...and off the top of my head i

As argumentative ,belligerent and opinionated as Grubby is ,at least he is consistent ,he hasn't got that oily. ,weasilly ,please like me ,way about him that you have .

Its everything to do with context.  Think thats lost sll the time these days . You cant make sweeping judgments as every situation is different .

If theirs 2 mates fishing together and one of them made the worst taste joke imaginable . Both laugh and carry on fishing . Thats fine as far as im concerned

One loud brash person shouting the same joke across a full pub to his [BANNED TEXT] . Bit of a dick , the jokes the same but the location is wrong . Not everybody wants to hear that kind of thing

A guy is reading the paper and reading something horrible that happens and laughs about it . Is a scumbag

Comedy should be able to cover any subject no matter how sensitive infact sone of the best comedy comes from the darkest subjects I guess it's a way of throwing light on them,  its a slippery slope once you start banning stuff,  i see plenty on here laughing at  Harvey jokes, Katie price's son ,whats the difference  how do you draw a line?

Exactly, certain folk love to stir shit.

If it's a joke fair enough but when they are trying to be serious that's overstepping the mark.

Why do folk constantly need to lie about things?

To try and pretend bad taste jokes aren't rife on work sites and such is comedy in itself.

I’ve seen some terrible stuff said on here.....Grenfell comes to mind, where kids were burnt alive. Not too much outrage then either.....

There's a talent required for dark shit like that and if ya ain't got it stay away. The audience needs to have no doubt you're joking but with some folks there's just a little bit of doubt ain't there. :hmm:

I answered yes and no instinctively but it depends on the situation doesn't it. Tbh it's not something I often encounter and tend to avoid the sort of 'lads' groups where that shit comes up.

Yeah, fair one, as I said it depends on the situation and audience. It's just not common in my life and tbh I don't really want it to be.

in my humble opinion ...and off the top of my head i dont think there are any subjects that cant be joked about...weather thats noncing kids ...race...religion...disabaled folk whatever.....i think most normal thinking adults can differentuate between comedy and real life...

it was one of the stand up comediens ..might have been chubby brown....that did a gig in mideslborough in cleavland .....some of you older guys might remember the cleaveland sex abuse case involving dozens of poor kids back in the 80's i think it was.....so chubby comes on stage and his opening line is.....im supprised to see so many of you here....thought you would all be home shagging your kids......that was the end of the show as well....he got all sorts chucked at him....

to me i thought that very funny...but i can see the difference between real life and comedy....

He did the same in Bradford after the football stadium fire, came on and said I believe you had a bit of a barbeque round here last week.

Cheers, D.
