comanche 3,061
WHILST IM SURE THATS A VERY GOOD TRAP, I JUST DONT SEE THE POINT IN LIVE TRAPPING SQUIRRELS. OK IF THERE IS THE POS OF TRAPING A RED , THEN FAIR ENOUGH. BUT ON THE HOLE ITS A PAIN IN THE ARSE. YOU IETHER GOT TO SHOOT IT , OR SACK IT AND SMACK IT. IF A CUSTOMER SAYS ARE YOU GOING TO CATCH IT ALIVE AND REALSE IT , I TELL THEM NO THE TRAP KILLS THEM . IF THEY ARNT HAPPY ABOUT IT I EXPLAIN ABOUT THE LAW RGARDING NOT REALSING GREYS, BECAUSE THERE ALIENS. AND I ALSO SAY , THAT IF THERE REMOVED AND RELEASED THEY WOULD BECOME A PROBLEM FOR SOME ONE ELSE. SO FAR I HAVN'T LOST A JOB EXPLAINING THIS, HAPPY TRAPPING TOMO Have to agree about being honest about the fate of the squill ,also find tunnel traps catch better than cages when set in similar circumstances ,on branches /fences etc.But that might be me projecting a"confidence" thing on my prefered method if that does'nt sound daft. With Spring round the corner though it'll soon be cages only.Don't want birds investigating potential nesting -holes.More bird-tables are ,apparentlly, being visited by dormice so cages are going to increase in relevence. mole trapper 1,694
Personally i think ignorance is bliss, if the customer dont ask i dont tell, i prefer to live catch, nothing worse than going to check tunnels etc and finding the customer upset at "THEIR" pheasant or whatever has met an untimley demise, before you all start blathering on about restricting access etc etc, accidents still occasionaly happen, personally i feel that as a professional, you ,as the law states use the safest method to do the job effectivley. I know that is not exactly the wording, but if you are in the business, and know the law you will know what i am on about. Regards MT. Quote Link to post
