one of my closest friends is a South African lad , he went to a private school , his level of maths is above degree level. He can literally look at a wall and in his head tell you how many bricks / leaves / pallets it will take . 
 

he works in project management now in the USA . 
 

if he’d been from Delhi rather than Durban , he’d have been a professor . see what I’m getting at ?
