Lol I think there is a virus the whole world dont lie. I think it affects the older and weaker more severely than the young and healthy I think we have a duty of care to protect everyone in our society, as they are your parents, your brothers and sister, your family, regardless if they are old or weaker than you. I have no idea on how that duty of care should look, whether the lockdowns are too severe, whether the vaccine works, im as blind as the next "average joe" and only speculating at best...shit stirring at worst. So would I have the vaccine.... if meant my wife was protected then yes, as there is far more chance of her being seriously ill from covid than me being affected by the jab. She will have the jab, already sent a letter to say she is in the High risk bracket so just a matter of time, she has to have the flu jab every year as well.. But ... I dont believe the vaccine should be forced on anyone, freedom of choice is everything... I think to travel you will have to be jabbed and that is your choice, I need to travel for work so again I'd have the jab.... Regards time in development etc, I have had many jabs to travel and not once questioned the time in development, they could've been developed a week before, but I never felt the need or desire to question the science...now it is so polarised everyone is an expert, im not...far from it..so when it affects me and mine ill make a choice based on that...as I've always done... That's not a sheep, its just not standing up and shouting "im not a sheep" when for the rest of our lives we've done exactly the same thing... 4

walshie 2,804
I'm undecided. Can everyone remind me whether they are going to have the jab or not and list the reasons behind their decision?

Greb147 6,809
I will get the vaccine if offered to me. 1) My sleeping pattern is terrible, especially whilst working on the night shift. I can feel the deep fatigue from the lack of sleep so I assume my immune system will be quite weak in it's current state. 2) I think I suffer from depression/stress which can weaken your immune system and possibly give you high blood pressure. 3) Even though at work I'm fairly active I haven't done any proper exercise in a while and can't say my diet as been amazing for a while. 4) I work with different sets of lads from all over the place so the chances of me being in a "bubble" are basically non existent. 5) Who knows how they virus may mutate, luckily these vaccines appear to be effective against this mutated strain which is now thought to be deadlier. 6) I believe in science. God doesn't perform miracles, it's the result of the hard work and genius from the best of mankind. Edited January 22, 2021 by Greb147

Greb147 6,809
I've just spoken to my brother on the way to work and heard what a shower the vaccination programme is. A lass in the village who is helping out down where they are doing the vaccinations has been getting her mates in for vaccines which is plain wrong and stinks! I thought it's the old and vulnerable who get priority?
