I know people look back with rose tinted glasses, but am I dreaming that my parents had four kids in a slum ?

Am I dreaming that when my dad was put out of work he had no social security or benefits worth talking about to fall back on ?

Am I dreaming that kids had rickets, T B , and some went to school in summer wearing a balaclava because they were ashamed that their heads had been shaved and painted blue because of nits ?

I could go on and on, but I guess you get the point.

Anyone who thinks we are worse off now than in the past are the ones that are dreaming........

Cheers.

Lol things today better for you chart but on estates now mate kids still get head shaved for dicks now kids have to step over needles everyday no food while mams out on punt

Come on mate, we didn’t need to destroy the very soul of a people to achieve any of that and you know it ?

No, I don't know it.

What I know is I had better opportunities and education than my parents.

My late children had better opportunities than my generation.

Some one mentioned buying council houses , well, we left the inner city during the slum clearances and moved to the suburbs......it was like winning the pools, ( that's like winning the lottery for the younger readers),, inside toilets , electricity, central heating.

My parents paid rent for many years, but bought their council house when they got the chance. They would have something to pass on when they died, if they had continued paying rent They would have f**k all to pass on.

When I say we had nowt, I mean NOWT, we struggled for food. Now when they say they have nowt, they mean the latest iPhone, big telly, x box, but they don't go hungry or miss out on their tabs and alcohol.

So, no one will convince me we are worse off now.......I went through it, I know when I'm better off !

Cheers.

The Mrs told me yesterday that Spain will be keeping a record of everyone who doesn't take the vaccine ?

You have to understand, here most of what you do has your ID number on it (in Spain its NIE for foreign nationals living here and DNI if you are a citizen). My points card is my NIE ffs. I can go into a shop I have one with and just give my NIE, instead of the actual card. So pretty much everything can be traced here. All the Gov would need to do is say you have to show or give your number for everything and they can start separating people who've had it from those who haven't!

E.g. you have to give your number to enter a bar. If you haven't had the vaccine, your names not down.

I totally respect all of that but there is more than one way to be worse off and some of those ways matter.....a lot ?

Some things have a price and others have a value, we all have to decide which is which ?

That’s terrible mate.

I have always believed that things like that should be fought against, but here is the thing, I believe we are in a war and have been for a long time and the stakes are high.

Nobody can fight the bits of a war that suit them, you have to fight it all or none at all.

Everything matters, everything is connected ?

All you can do within the law is vote, at the ballot box or with your feet.

We will be needed again, maybe not in our life time but at some point.....let the c**ts find this out on their own.

Only when the last European has decided to stop playing ball and checked out will they realise that none of it would have existed without us.

If people want to see where European government policy is heading just look at Zimbabwe ! Enjoy ?

I agree we can demand better and fight for it, and I will never stand for the status quo or erosion of our freedoms and liberties, but I will never accept that we are worse of now than in the past.

Cheers.

Just want to take this opportunity to apologise lads, I even start to bore myself with my relentless diatribe about this stuff but it’s something close to my heart and I get caught up in what I find an interesting subject.

So, as I said, sorry for being the stuck record of doom......there’s still plenty to be positive about but we have been casual about so much that we can’t afford to be casual for much longer ?

And the above is happening in every sleepy little village across the uk not just run down towns or inner city’s

Some would rather sniff than feed or clothe their kids

Sad times .

No one is doubting it but the important question is “why?” Mate......even I know it’s not a single reason, it’s a collection of different things ?
