I know full well they're not.

I lost both my grandparents last year after being in and out of hospital for a good while and must say the NHS service was abysmal for both.

You feel helpless as they are tending to your loved ones but there's no other port of call.

Is this due to the NHS being on it's knees with doctors and nurses being overran or is it a case of terrible work ethic?

Sorry about your Grandparents and to answer your question its sadly a bit of both.

So why waste the time - effort and money building them ?

and if that is the case they need to invest in training more doctors and nurses and if folk in GB don’t want them vocations bring in those that do ?

I don't have the answers max I'm just giving my thoughts on why they aren't being used.

Not so long ago the tories were the new saviours because of brexit now because of the pandemic they're fcukin you without vaseline.

Is it just me or would you not feel uncomfortable being praised for a job that you get paid for? Is that not the child like level of admiration and praise some people like to adorn their children, even though they have done nothing other than behaved as anyone should?

The NHS is a 'Free' health care system, state run. Why would anyone expect any quality or high standard when it's free. That will never change. It is there to provide a certain level of medical care to a certain type of person, ie your average Joe who knows little if not anything about looking after themselves from a health point of view. It would be the last place you would want to go to get advice or treatment if it could be avoided. "Save the NHS" was the slogan. Rather embarrassing when virtually no hospital was overwhelmed.

But their the experts!

It's just like any job, if you excel at it you will be rightly praised for it.

What's the problem in that?

But it could of gone the other way mate..nobody can predict the future that's impossible to do..the gov covered that scenario by building the pop up hospitals..

I'm the event that they were needed.thankfully they ain't been needed..

It's not very British that though is it? But then again most people today in Britain haven't much where with all concerning modesty and false praise for life's activities like the older generation.

Excel....is very rare in any of todays working environments. How did the NHS excel exactly? The were turning people down for all other serious operations, conditions and test results until the 'expected' wave of the Virus was over, which never came.
