It’s true they have the knowledge.......if only they could remember where they put it ?

I feel the elderly are wasted in our society, their input and experience is often left to waste away , I think they should be invited to bring more to schools and colleges etc. Lots of important stories and histories they could pass on and would also provide purpose etc, a big subject but I see people pushed out of work when they could be bringing on a youngster instead of some lazy 40/50 something just having a dogsbody to pass on his bad habits to....

Funny enough my mates from back home who own a building firm employ a bloke well in his 70s. He don’t need the money, just wants to stay active. We’ve all known him for years, he’s the best labourer they’ve had! No joke.

my mother is 74. worked as a nurse for the nhs untill she retired from there when she reached 60 from the age of 17 then got a job nursing in a care home, which she still does. she had covid last month and was pretty unwell but has pulled herself together and is going back to work next week. she loves to work. keeps her active she says. fantastic work ethic. differant generation.

And you know it

I bet your all for that fooking statue of thatcher in Grantham ?

LOVE TO! I'd have 'pleb games' where I pit plebs of my choosing against lions and make them do impossible tasks to prove their plebery.

Yep, I can see myself in the big house.

Read the fine print

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-pfizer-biontech-vaccine-for-covid-19

why would anyone take something that’s not been tested?

I did read somewhere the U.K. gov changed the law so vaccines ( most probably just for this one) don’t need extensive testing

That's a fair shout and one of the things people need to consider when weighing up vaccination.

Not worth more to us, than their own lives are to them. If I was 70/80 year old and told that your family can't visit you, you can't visit them, no physical contact, no hugs, no visits....and when I ask why? They say, "its for your safety, we're thinking of you."

Their playing God.

My old lady 74 she round every day Bain pop in to hers after school she thinks it a load a bollocks lol

Incorrect. You said from flu, now you're adding other respiratory illness, the truth is 50k surplus.

And given we're talking about surplus deaths, this sort of fucks on your claims that this year is no worse than 2018.

Right if there was 50k extra deaths in 2018 winter they had flu but died of pneumonia or bronchitis so it gets recorded as that not flu

but flu still caused it

if you died of pneumonia today they would record it as corvid

No they wouldn't, the death cert would read both. Just like it would if it was flu and another respiratory illness.
