Small lurchers going to ground

What’s people’s views on lurchers going to ground had a handy little dig this morning didn’t come away once had a handful of good dos now with it good job it was only a 5 min dig didn’t have no collar on which i normally do with that Sod’s law

A dog is a dog dig away you might want to collar up when your out lamping,any pics of the lurcher.

Around 19 inch give or take can get in some surprising places and push on fairly quick it is just a bayer but won’t back down will draw most things I won’t lamp it it’s too head strong if it doesn’t catch bit of a head case really do take it out odd time doubled up for a catch but nice dog to work been an all round can take it ferreting and digging does what I want it to do

A nightmare to me, I've had to drag my whippet/stag out of a few dens,all dug out rabbit warrens.I admire the dog's gameness but she's no terrier and luckily gets stuck not far down so far. Also wombat holes over here hide more than wombats (which can crush dogs skulls on the roof of the hole) but pigs often hide in them adding to the danger for a small sighthound.

Its a pain in the ass iv a lurcher here 4 year old started doing it this year. Brought the dog up to work with terriers could hardly catch a fox in 40 acre feild but great round a hole. He did it first at start of the season didn't get him out for 15 hours was stuck with the game dead in front of him and dug the terrier at the other side of the borrow at an other fox. Did it again there on sunday fox went to bolt and the dog went down the hole like a rocket dug him and the terrier out in the feild fox dead again. It's a pain in the ass the dog could get stuck or could do serious damage to a terrier in the heat of the moment. He the best and most game lurcher I ever had not for the faint hearted
