So I was curious ,do you guys happen to have somthing similar to a Form 1 option for supressors ? Like here in the states you gotta send in your paper work and $200 wait till it clears (6 months is about average)then you get your tax stamp,then spend anywear from $150-$2000 on an actual supressor. Think it's about the same process over there last time i checked.

Well recently alot if people have been doing what's called a Form 1 (apparently we've had this option for a while it's just become more popular due......lets just say easily accessible componets lol) where you basically send in your Form 1 paper work that's says basically  "Hay I'm building my own supressor" and $200 for the tax stamp. This method has be getting super popular because you can actually build a really good supressor for like $50-$100 with minimum effort now days. So really your only spend like $300 total and 2/3's of that is just the tax stamp. O and it oly takes like 6 weeks to get your tax stamp and paper work cleared.

Anyhow was really curious is you guys happens to have a similar option or is it strictly you have to buy store bought?

A silencer/suppressor/moderator is treated the same way as a firearm over here. Crazy but true. When you get permission to get say a 308, you also need permission to get a moderator for it. In practice it's not quite as hard to get as the firearm, as once you have shown the "good reason" for the gun, you can get the mod. 

Our moderators aren't as expensive as yours (£50-£300ish) so making one would probably be more hassle than it's worth. Once we have a "slot" for a mod on our tickets, I don't think it makes much difference whether it's store bought or self made. All my mods were store bought but only one has a serial number on so are just listed as "223 moderator - no visible number". The make or model had never been recorded.

In Sweden you need a license for each silencer costs 35$. The silencer need to have an individual Number. They cost 300-400$.

Your laws regarding silencers vary wildly from state to state  don’t they Wolfe .

Your laws are evolving slowly as wasn’t long back they were outlawed completely every where .I’m guessing on day they will be off the shelf for you but in the meantime ,must comply .

Somone what,  owner ship is pretty much the same across the board but hunting with them has been a heated topic. Which makes no friggen sense to me . Most if the politicians here have no real clue how firearms work but peopel belive them because their in a position of power. Dont help moat if the public has no clue wither abd thinjs their illeagl to own any ways.And last time i checked they where never completely illegal. In fact Teddy Roosevelt had one of his hunting rifles.

But as far as compliance..... the way Biden is talking about gun control I'm going to be a felon anyways might as well do it with a supressor
