What can I say we like saving money and having fun seeing what all we can build ? always found it odd y'all just go buy everything  lol?

You buy the tubes, all the many different types of joints, the adhesive, the barrels, then spend the whole day drilling, cutting and fixing to make something that looks shit and isn't as good as what you can buy.

Idk spent like $15 on parts then 30min on assembly to make two double pods. Not to mention it's fun to build stuff. And of course it's not going to be 100% the same as sonmthing that's machine and mass produced ? and it can look like shit but if it works ? seems to be alot of *it better look good* thought process in the uk.  Then again yall are paying an arm and a leg for most suff so reckon it makes sense? but at least for me catching fish with somthing you built yourself is so much more rewarding

But only if it is easy assembled components?  And what is the difference between buying a ready made item that actually works and buying a load of plastic parts that never will work properly? You are still buying. You don't make the pipes and joints yourself. Doh! ?

Try building one out of bamboo or hickory wood if you really want a challenge. It won't fold or extend or be adjustable like a professionally made item, but it will at least be something you could be proud of rather than looking like an adult's version of a kid's toy.

Earlier you make fun of British anglers taking loads of tackle to catch what you call a few baitfish. Yet there was a thread started about you using six  long rods and reels in a boat to catch what you called small fish that don't fight much. Now, weigh up the cost, weight and bulk of a boat and 6 outfits against the tackle of the British anglers you mocked. ?

Im legit trying to figure out if your joking or you actually got kinda butthurt of me trying to be light hearted and have a good laugh.? Seems to be a re accuring factor with alot of sportsmen over there I noticed.

Regardless and again the ones I made work just fine for what I'M doing. I barely carp fish anymore so I'm not about to drop $75 odd bucks on a pod set up. I can actually buy a cheap Chinese one for like $25 but if prefer a nice one if I'd buy one. Not to mention of end up caking it with mud and all sorts if crap where I fishes I rather just take somthing cheap I could care less about messing up.

Next, why would I do that when PVC is so cheap ? Like if I made one out wood or bamboo that just defeats the purpose I can be as proud of what ever I make as I wish my friend. I'm not really out here trying to impress anyone. You know there could be a completely different method I'm trying that warrants me making pods out of PVC instead of trying to make or buy some beautiful borderline piece of art.

Also one of your guys called them bait fish first sooo I'm not sure why your upset. Seriously, a brit can call them bait fish it's fine but she the American says the same thing it's a problem ? Me and the same guy where both laughing about it so I don't get where you say I was mocking anyone . We were having a good natured laugh about our countries different fishing practices. Seems eveyone understood that.

And I wasn't saying I spider rig I was explain what those rods where used for. I don't even crappie fish. That's a whole differnt animal. Not to mention where to fish hang out and what not you actually do need a boat 90% of the time . And alot of the people who do don't just have the boat strictly for that purpose. But just to think with my mind set.... I can buy a cheap John boat round here for mabye $500,200 for a motor, and like $15 per rod set up for the budget side so $90 there so like $800 for a low budget spider set up. Mabye more if your getting some nice rod holders. But from just looking at some of yall's gear costs , i know alot of you guys got more than that in your rods alone. And crappie arnt bait fish there just not a big fish. Like your averaging 2-3lbs up to 5 for a record.

And look with all that being said I find the way y'all fish extremely interesting . Abit odd and over the top (to me) at times yes but hay if thats what yall need to do to enjoy yourselfs, have a good and fufilling time on the water and catch fish, hay all the power to you ! You do you and enjoy your self. I'm not just gonna turn up my nose to yall and act like I'm better , make some jabs and try to have some good natured jokes sure but honestly why would I just mock fellow fishermen? I know plenty of people who do that and I don't like it.

With all that being said my apologiesif I ruffled any feathers.

The point about making something out of wood is that you would have to craft it. Not just buy ready made pipes and joints and just stick them together like a kid making a Lego house.  And you brought up how you laugh at British anglers carrying a load of gear AFTER you had posted about a six rod outfit in a rowing boat. And now you are saying that you don't really do that sort of fishing anyway.

You do things your way. We do things our way and we all laugh at each other.

I mean it's still building though.  One minute you where talking about how it was gonna take all day to build And when I mention since everything is just prefabbed it takes like 30min  now that's a problem.

And yeah year again I was just explain how spider rigging works and how those rods are generally used over here. That was just a picture off of google imagines.  I don't spider rig I don't even have a boat. I dont have to do something to be able to understand the basic mechanics and try and explain it to somone.I use those rods in a complete different manner. Gotta whole 45min odd video showing that.

And again light hearted good natured laughter and jabbing.

The time scale of one day relates to those pontoon boats made out of barrels and plumbing materials. I could knock up a pipe rod pod in a lot less time, but it might take me years to summon up courage to be actually seen with one.   ?   Your explaining spider rigging outfit just gave me the opportunity to point out the hypocrisy of you laughing at Brits carrying a load of gear to catch small fish.  The irony seems to be lost on you.

We all do things differently and the American method of trolling six rods behind a motor boat whilst drinking beer and waiting for a small pike or muskie to throw itself at one of the lures isn't that much different to someone sleeping in a bivvy for seven days with three rods out waiting for a carp to hang itself on a bolt-rig. Different strokes for different folks.

Personally I try wherever possible to fish light. One rod and as much gear as I can carry in a game bag. Occasionally, if I'm out for the whole day and the fishing location is 2 or 3 miles from the car I'll throw everything into a trolley. I didn't used to, but I'm getting on a bit.

But this is how I usually fish

The combined age of rod and reel is over 200 years. The bass were caught to stock in a koi pond to keep the frogs and fry down. They are still there.

One rod, one reel, one net and everything else in my pockets or a small bag.

I've always found it difficult finding a chair that suits me and tried all the big name brands and styles. There really isn't a one size fits all chair out there and have found a lot depends on your style of fishing, long days, up and down out of the chair, reclining, resting your arms, uneven banks, walking distance to swim etc.

For me I always revert back to the chair Wolfdog91 uses, cheap, light weight and reasonably comfortable, downside is they are a waste of time on uneven ground.
