Years ago I used to drink it from the Oak Casks at the brewery in Masham in Yorkshire I believe the strength has been toned down over the years it’s 5.6% in a bottle now where as in the past I’m sure it was 6+ still my favourite drink though, when ever I am up Yorkshire theakstons is always my go to pint, and you’ve hit the jackpot if they have Theakstons XB on draught.

Remember when the London lads used to come up here in the 80s and we would all go in a well known pub in the village of Greasbrough called the Yellow lion full of poachers and dog lads that served John Smiths magnet that one London lad said he had never drunk beer as good though most of the London boys were larger drinkers and always Remember the bemused look on the barmaids face when one asked for a lager top that was unheard of in the pubs around here in them days. 😆
