Lamping on new permission !

Got offered a nights lamping on a friends land during the week with a good friend of mine , as we both know the owners son we both said yes and organised to meet up with him on the farm.On the way over my buddy told me that he'd been there before for a night with the rifle and things had gone badly culminating in the farmers Alsatian attacking a calf (it's his son we both know and on that night he had the Alsatian with him "just for a walk" when things went pear shaped ). We meet up at the farm as arranged my buddy has his new lurcher with him he's had her a few weeks now and has been doing a bit of recall/retriving work with her and says she's coming along ok. so it's her first real night out.

 

 

We also have my little Russell bitch along for the spin :

 

 

Night turns out to be more of a "get to know ye session " with said landowner in tow to make sure we're not a couple of fuckwits who leave gates open,trample over fences,rob all round us etc. Night itself was poor enough dead still but bloody cold and with four of us slurping through the mud after all the recent rain we were making a fair racket . Lurcher picked one on the first shine of the night rabbit didn't even move ... Mixy , second was a good long course up and down the ditch until ....

 

 

and no the terrier didn't get there first but wasn't too far off the pace ....

 

Got three more after this, on the last course of the night the russell decided that this one was all hers

 

 

Only five in total so not huge numbers by any means but we got shown around and got on well with Mr. Farmer and got asked to come back anytime as long as we ring ahead so smiles all round

well done finny nice to see he is happy with the bitch he got...must meet up again for another shine some night been trying to ring but ur whone aint accepting it or else its my phone...
