I shoot loads allways skin them before chucking them into ferrets. Cut inbetween the tail bone and the body step onto back legs pull and off it comes all the way to the nose

I will give that a try mate ? I've allways struggled skinning them..

I would say this cage is a cat trap. The steel plate, hand guard kinda gives it away...

Looks like a Havahart collapsible trap to me I have one here. You will get squirrel in it as long as everything moves silky smooth with all the mechanism touch points.

Had one this morning mate in the trap like yours. Cheers Arry

I've tried skinning them in the past and to be honest it's bloody hard work.its like the jacket is super glued on lol.

I will get the trap in the woods later.been sorting the dog out the last 11 days after he hit a tree.

Will let you know how I get on mate ?

Did you try when they where cold or warm ? Because if here cold it's alot harder.when there warm you  make one cut along the the back tick you fingers in and around the back of the shoulders and basically just yank him out of his coat ? there's another method you can do where you kinda slingshot the little guy and it removes the guts as well.

Slow roast in a covered roaster with a cup of water for 2-3 hours (depending on size and quantity, you'll know when its easy to break meat off the bone), then pick clean. Can put straight in pies or the like or stew, curry etc. They're a lot like rabbit so small and boney hence picking em clean.

Edit : Slow roast = 130c - 140c
