Greyman 28,837
I, know winter proper is a Callander date in December but in the last week have been noticing all the little things like redwings and field fares eating all the berry,s and robins singing through the night saw a flock of egrets on my walk today as well, that to me make it winter anyone else getting it were they are

ginger beard 4,652
At this time in Norway the mountains are usually covered in snow and it would be 2ft where I am.not a sign of it yet. Their was thick snow on the mountains last week but it’s all gone now. could mean a mild British winter.

Meece 1,958
I hate the wet and the cold. Roll on global warming, long days, short nights, young women with tight T shorthand short shorts. Pigeon shooting over wheat and swaithed rape stumbles.
Nik_B 3,790
I used to really look forward to this time of the year when we used to go shooting but that came to an end the same year I moved here and never found a similar shoot but I do love the change in the season and seeing all the migratory birds arrive. I didn't know you could get flocks of egrets, we have them here all year round, there's just a few of them but I can almost guarantee you will see them at a certain spot. Missed out on much of the fishing because of the lockdown and really am not in the mood to be stood on rocks in the howling winds at the moment but we still had some good sessions.
Greyman 28,837
Funny thing I enjoy winter more the older I get, can’t stand the solar powered wankers that converge on my space from April to October, heaving motorways country lanes full of fat blokes in Lycra, ramblers in bright clothing tramping everywhere and wild campers leaving there shit everywhere after watching an episode of bear gryls, good clothing and footwear makes it all more enjoyable
