NEWKID 27,376
Had a call last week, a farmer whos land we have ferreted for years had retired and bought a cracking little place on the edge of the moors...his wife called me and asked if we could clear the rabbits around her horse paddocks .. a quick trip out to have a look and the banks were obviously pretty busy.. It would be a bit of work, Geth was up for giving me a hand plus my lad and my godson...they're only 15 but got stuck right in and grafted all day.. It was one of those days everything went to plan... a quick small hedge first thing and we had 4 out in an hour or so.. Then the big main bank, a big L shape around the main paddock...long nets and stops plus purses in the runs, dogs mopping up around the holes and helping holding in nets...we had 21 out of the banks...all finished by 2pm.... They were very happy with 25 cleared, we've got 2 more small holdings to do in the village...its all horse paddocks so easy enough ferreting... Happy couple of lads, Matt my god son took 3 home to skin for a stew... Edited November 8, 2020 by NEWKID 16 Quote Link to post
