Yes mate. Absolutely broke my heart. Went a bit mental after for a couple of months. Try not to think / talk about it too much as she was my best mate.

I actually asked a good dog man I know well from down there about you, he said messer dont want anything to do with him. He is quite a tolerant fellow as well doesnt have much bad to say about anyone. I dont know how long you have been in that area but your messer reputation just about beat you down there ?

You’re a bunch of wee school girls. There’s only two folk down here I’ve been out with, and both are on here, and both have read this - so I’m sure they will be rushing along in a minute to back you up won’t they. ?

I actually asked him thinking I maybe I was able to point you in the right direction for a stud because he has handy dogs about him that run very well down there, from his answer there was no chance of that ?

The other fella that pm'd me didnt call you a messer now that I remember, he didnt call you anything nasty tbh he simply said you havnt a clue what your after. I wont betray a confidence but you may be shocked who it was.

All these conversations came about when you posted your stud topic.

Messer ?

Strait whippet x spaniel or a buddy whippet spaniel ?

Seen both in the past and a good mate has a quarter spaniel beddy whippet though its thrown more to the beddy its got stamina to burn . The one's i have seen that a mate bred out of a spaniel he got off me some years ago after putting a 3quarter whippet Bedlington over it all the pups born were black in colour the only thing that looked spaniel about them was the ears that seemed larger than just beddy whippets i have seen.

Appreciate the info mate , leaning more to doing it now in the future but will use a beddy whippet rather than full whippet ,

Its the same kind of route I'm going down with my mutts. I put my whippet Russell over my pat springer and, assuming the bitch I kept does what I want, I will be looking to put a whippet or whippet cross over her in the future. Hardy little mooching dogs is what I got from this litter and adding another of the same ilk but with longer legs and a bit of speed is quite appealing

Yeah more relaxed pace as well , ideal for adding a bit of protein on a forage ?
