So you'd use a whippet as you'd use a bigger, stronger type of lurcher just to see it fail somehow? Well done Quote Link to post

Well done we have an habit of crossing paths mucker,i like the fact that we can have these discusssions and I still like you,if you offered me a whippet id take it gladly,if another offered me the same dwarf lurcher id throw it in the green bin.I like the skinny fecking things and know their true value, you like them and put me in my place, well done. 1 1 Quote Link to post

To be honest one has caught about 8 this season, one 2 and others none Decent mooching dogs, but in some spots I go, I might as well be carrying a banner Thinking at least two of them should never see the light of day in public. That whippet I haw was another league on rabbits. Quote Link to post

That whippet I haw was another league on rabbits. I remember the whippet well. I was just curious if you could put a springer over one of your lurchers. Mine goes under the radar and I can’t imagine many lurchers challenging her when it comes to mooching...(which is all I use her for). The only thing I can pick her up on is that she occasionally yips which would bother some......She’s exceeded what I hoped for and doesn’t look like an out and out lurcher, but catches me more than any other lurcher I’ve had. No doubt she wouldn't suit everyone’s needs, but for what I do she’s great and certainly worth consideration. It’s in the desire to hunt and find where she excels. SheepChaser 8,089
I’d love to see that dog of yours work one day mate, she sounds very interesting. With regard to my lurcher bitches, I lost a very very good one at the start of this season and it broke my heart, one of the others is old, cranky and going half blind and the other is young and currently only starting her career. She’s also built like a brick shit house 3 Quote Link to post
