well if thats the dam,  put nice whippet x grey with drop of bull in it , the drop of bull give bit better bone and calm the fookn collie temp down a bit, haveing had few collie xs over the years and still got old bryn 1x collie x grey who 13, i deff know all about this type x. they make great rabbit dogs day and night , good feet/ coat, good wind agile, to much brain at times, if you want to step up the game, they  far better xs out there to use .!

She’s the least intelligent collie I own ? the main aim of the game is to produce a dog that could come round in the truck with the collies and go out with the bushers and mug some stuff. We don’t really have rabbits here, but my lamp dogs are getting to look a way that they aren’t really something I can take some places round here day time.

fair enough , you seen old bryn when he was younger, and you liked him back then, always was fast for this type x, and good wind , and as agile as any pure collie , great nose find anything in cover bird, rabbit, etc. like said though he no fox dog, he run them , but fook about with them, where as Buck my 1x gsd x grey is alot more full on with any quarry. but as knock about type dog thats biddable , you want beat a 1x collie x grey , all my collie xs  were back to a greyhound , never had one with whippet in it , but a beddy x  collie x grey prob make knock about dogs as well.

I would fire a straight grey over her just to keep the litter a bit more level but personally I would be wanting a slightly taller lengthy dog from them.

If you use the whippet it should keep the litter a smaller level.

The whippet grey would give you a bit more of a lottery with size. All depends on what you fancy and the ground and work and quarry you will be working. I wouldn't use the grew for reasons I stated above.

Whippet Grey ..or 3/4 grey 1/4 collie

There mate. 3/4 grey 1/4 collie, put to your bitch would give you 5/8 collie 3/8 greyhound, in theory.

Sounds good for what you've said above.

Some interesting answers.

I guess it’s a toss up between producing a proper all out runner and usin a grey or big leggy sighthound mix lurcher or producing a little knock about dog and using a whippet or small type lurcher.

That’s made it sound as if your still undecided an no more wiser than when you first asked the question

If you put a beddy/grey over her and keep a rough coated collie marked pup that should look incognito. Wouldn't be as good a catch dog as a straight collie/grey though I wouldn't think.
