Might be a strange bunch but at least they dont go around decapating people

Mental , cultist fools who would let their children die by denying them blood transfusions. Cheers.

Dodgy little firm not quite as cunning financially as some of the others...The Plymouth Brethren are one to keep an eye on that fly under the radar of big business but have excellent little communitie

Are you on about masons now? Sorry my bad ?

No mate..the Plymouth Brethren..its a religious sect, Christianity but a little extreme..

Always paid well and no aggro, very particular and fussy, but once you are considered a good one they are very loyal.

Historically the Plymouth Brethren go,s back to Ireland but one of their most notable members at the start of the last century was the assistant chief of Met Police, Robertson i forget his first name now, and ever since then they have had decent numbers within the Met....a funny little story a number of years ago through a friend of a friend i ended up investing a little bit of money in a business run by them and was invited to a dinner at the offices above the workplace ....they are well known for only employing their own so i knew i was going to be the only non Brethren amongst around 20 of them......so we walk into a huge room upstairs and theres a King Henry the eighth style table set out which im told even on work days they all have to stop work and sit around the table to eat together.....out the corner of my eye ive also clocked one little table on its own over in the corner, thats weird im thinking......we sit down and get into conversation and then after a while im asked to go and sit at the other table as the rules are no non Brethren may sit around the dinner table !.....almost out of shock and not wanting to offend anyone i slump away on my own to this lone table and start eating but within a couple of minutes my pride kicks in and i throw a tantrum " what am i some kind of f****n leper....f**k the lot of you " ? and im out of there, thanks but no thanks....like i say, strange people ?

Maybe you just trod in some dog shite nothing sinister.

I think when you join,  you have sign over what properties and finances you have to them.

I think it might be based on the tithe system mate as set out in the Bible, so 10% of what you earn go’s to the church.

As in every 10th animal under the rod etc etc

Pal of mine got caught balls deep in a JW bird, her parents were elders and they excommunicated her !

Haha, I used to deal with a load of Brethren, they were top people.

As you say, always paid bang on the nail, no messing.

When I dealt with them they didn’t use computers and avoided modern technology as much as possible.

Absolutely no weekend working, Saturdays for the family and Sundays for the Lord is what they used to say.

Dealt with a few down your way mate.

They used to come here, spreading the word, no problem with that, each to their own, but when they found out I don't follow the faith, they don't stop in anymore.

Not trying to be  offensive to anyone, but it does sound like a cult.

Each to their own.
