Came across this just a miniute ago http://www.rspca.org.uk/servlet/Satellite?pagename=RSPCA/RSPCARedirect&pg=NewsFeature&articleId=1199787167943&marker=1

Now yes it sound and looks very disturbing which it is,, As the trap is not intedned for use on foxes :censored: But something i noticed is the wrong labeling of a legal trap as an illegeal gin trap,, banned donkeys ago.

August 2007 - A fox with a gin trap stuck on its head and through its eye sockets in Reading, Berkshire. It was put to sleep to end its suffering.

If the Arsepca have to deal with illegal traps surely they should know whats a gin trap and whats a markk six fenn trap,, Which are 100% legal to set for the right quarry and set im tunnels and checked once a day.

Now what good does this do,, The Public will now all automaticly think every snare and trap they come across is illegal. Im not saying it was right for that trap to be set for a fox beacuse it is dam right cruel and look what image its giving :wallbash:

Who knows it might not of been set for foxy,, Could of been placed inside a tunnel for a target speicies such as squirrel and the fox maganged to stick his head in????? Who knows!!

The RSPCA lost my support and respect some twenty years ago, I tried to contact them regarding a cat I'd found that was badly injured, I found the cat on the road at about 7.30pm and despite my best efforts could not do so, I even phoned the Police only to be told that they (the Police) could not make contact with the RSPCA after working hours.

To me this is not an animal welfare organisation with the welfare of animals at the fore front, just a business.:hmm:

The Arsepca want the public to be so upset, by the thought of traps, that they will report everything and anything they come across, and then vote to have them banned.

The type of trap is unimportant, to the Arsepca. It's the fact that they kill animals. The irony being that they kill hundreds, of animals, a week in their own establishments.

The Arsepca are not our friends. Their political meddling helped the hunting ban hit the statute. Expose them any way you can. When they f**k up, post it here.

THAT IS NOT AN ILLEGAL GIN TRAP! IT IS A JUBY TRAP AND IS NOT COVERED BY THE BAN.

to be legal they must be set within the entrance of a rabbit hole also its illegal to sell them from new.clearly the fox stuck his nose in the hole and got snared! just bad luck.i use juby traps and have done for some time, catch a good few conie but ive never had any mishaps.

There are about a dozen slight variations of Type in the Juby. I can assure ye though that not one of them looks remotely like any Fenn Vermin Trap.

Did any one watch that RSPCA programe on channel five this afternoon?

I did and it was all about traps and the law,..Honestly some of the locations the rspca inpectors placed traps to test the new recruits was mad,, a gin trap was in a great bit pile of sticks up against the pen, with a gin trap set at the wrong anlge with a weasel in,, If i was a weasel i would not want to go in that silly thing they set up,, A nice small tunnel on the ground would do for me.

Honestly some of the places that they placed thier test traps,, complete with DEAD animals ;)

And they even had a pheasnt pen :hmm:
