Jay w 8
Just wondering if anyone regularly ferrets just using ferrets and a dog and no nets I have seen a few videos of people doing it and it looks good fun as it really makes the dog work to catch every rabbit bolted. Quote Link to post

TOMO 26,115
yep....can't beat it...not only does it look fun it is fun....when you get a dog that is so switched on to it ..it can spoil you to not wanting to use a net ever again.. another thing that can happen...is it can be faster ...net laying can be time consuming...and very often you can drop a ferret in a small Warren ...bolt two or 3 in quick time ..the dog catch them and move on 2 Quote Link to post

Aussie Whip 4,097
You miss quite a few but it's sport not pest control that way.One of my hunting spots the owner just wants numbers kept down and there is always rabbits to run. Quote Link to post

Been out twice this weekend and didn’t use nets either day, Saturday was in fairly dense woodland lots of holes not loads of rabbits. Mistake tbh dog tried hard but was hard going and he missed most of them and was probably lucky not to hurt himself. This morning went out on recently chopped ditches and hedges and catch percentage went right up. Still missed a few but terrific fun and still got quite a few. 2 Quote Link to post
