TOPPER 1,809
dont be a thugs, thats just proving the teacher right get your parents to complain to the head and write a letter to the chairman of the governers demanding a public apology and write to any fieldsports ass ie BASC, CA etc explaining what happened and ask them to contact the school maybe arrange a visit and discuss hunting. My daughter wrote a piece on hunting and ended up debating it in front of the whole school, at the start she had a show of hands for and against hunting at the start 70% were against when she had finished it was down to about 5% against so 95% had been educated and the head wrote to us sayin how pleased he was with her and her debating skills were some of the best he d ever seen, its no wonder i never win an argument with her!! shepp 2,285
Typical lefty fascist, think they automatically have the moral high ground, unfortunately they have most of the public sector jobs with teaching being no exception. Giving a political view point has no place in schools, hunting has probably kept a lot of young men away from drugs and gangs. Make a hell of a fuss, otherwise your hunting will go the same way as ours. Shepp Quote Link to post
Guest chicken
If i was your dad i would be straight down that school i would rather you were out with your dogs then standing on street corners and terrorising old folk Quote Link to post

Guest JohnGalway
Do not stoop to doing some of the things mentioned here, vandalism etc. you'll only get in trouble for it and because of that no one will listen to your story. From your post, you've been publicly humiliated infront of your peers, don't take that lying down. That's certainly not a teachers job. Let your parents know, get them to go to the school and make a formal complaint against that teacher. Get an apology, preferably infront of your parents and other people as well. Don't rub it in, it'll be enough that a person with that attitude will have to be embaressed like that. Drop it afterwards (although writing to the NARGC may also be a good idea), and happy hunting ;-) Edited January 12, 2008 by JohnGalway Quote Link to post
socks 32,253
i ahd something similar with my eldest daughter ... her history teacher was preaching to the class how hunting was a barbaric and outdated pursuite ... my daughter then put in her two peneth and tried to stick up for her dad only to be given a detention by the teacher for daring to question her ..... needles to say she didint do the detention and i whent into the school and dememned a chat with the headteacher ... i asked him if i could see the terms xcuriculam for history .... after a puzzled look he produced it ... so i sat there for 15 minuets reading through the modules that must be taught etc etc ... when i finished i looked up and asked him where did it say that a lecture on hunting must be taught ..... he was even more puzzled by this so i filled him in on what had happened .... 3 mins later the gobby bitch was in his office being dressed down infront of me and he told her in uncertain terms that she was not to express her personel beliefs onto children of an impresionable age and her job was to teach what was on the ciriculum......... she then had to apologise to my daughter and explain to the whole class taht hunting is not illegal or anything bad and that it was only her opinion and not nesecerally right ......... if i was you fella i wiould get your parents up the school .... i can tell you if a teacher called one of my kids a driggie he would be getting a slap off me ... and if she was unlucky to be female she would get a slap off my missus ......... Geoff.C 0
Stringer9, I join the others in urging you to report this teacher. Your friend hopefully, would be a witness. You may only get her forced to apologize, but that would be a start wouldn't it? Some anti country sports types have some strange ideas, I recall the Countryside Alliance having a stand at the Labour party conference once. They got called everything from a pig to a dog and even paedophiles (yes really) because they liked country sports. My wife is a teacher, and gets some disapproval from others for picking up with the flatcoats, and seeing off her friends when they ride with the local hunt. Most though, are ok about it,so don't think all teachers are the same mate. Blimey! Some feelings here,12 more posts have appeared while I wrote this one. Keep it up lads. Quote Link to post

Malt 379
I had 3 teachers like that in my school. 2 were art teachers, and one was a music teachers. Members of 'Friends of the earth'. Typical left wing working class heroes! They used to go and protest at the local hunt meets, suposedly for the welfare of animals, but one of their tricks was to spray hairspray into the hounds faces. Animal welfare my ar*e! It was class war, pure & simple, even though the majority of the followers were working class themselves. People like that shouldn't be allowed to force their views on impressonable young adults. Fair enough, everyone is entitled to their own view, but what they do in their own time is their own bussiness. By far the worst of the 3 was an art teacher i'll just call Mr. L. One of the funniest things i've ever seen, was the look on his face when my mate whipped a fox brush out of his bag and passed it around the class! My mate got dragged into the little office that adjoined the class, and got a half hour long lecture & bollocking, and then got detention. He said it was well worth it! Quote Link to post
