Finally got a hare with her, there aren't many around here, had a good flight on a crow this morning. Third slip on a hare today from a good solid point,result

Another one on the tally today 1st bolt and a kill in high winds again . Rabbits a bit scarce on this ground.

Dodging the heavy showers and battling the high winds again. Two slips and a kill from a nice long sprint. Fed up and headed for home #19

I used to do a bit of ferreting for the Yorkshire Falconry club back in the day best flights i have ever seen were by Goshawks i would sooner see a couple caught by these birds than 20 that's hit purse nets .

I took my dad hawking over ferrets a few times. Harris hawk & goshawk flights, but he just didn’t get it, as in rabbits getting away! 

He actually said to me once “yeah we’ll go again tomorrow, but with nets instead.....” wtf?

I've been out with gyr x falcon , only had a point on a pheasant which whipped back into a hedge, was never too into it, enjoyed the pointer working. It is a lot of things coming together, got an invite to go with goshawks but anytime I get seems to be kids or dogs. It's a pure sport and I like the idea of it, but not really something you can dabble in....

It’s pretty infectious, I find it’s a bit of an obsession for me lol
