Caught the chicken raiders moving in across the paddock. Squeaked  and the big lad came trotting in. Dave was right. Couldn't see the green light. Just under 100yds in the bib. It ran nearly 100

Started with an appetizer. Rats! Nine rats for starters now off to call for fox's.

Well that didn't go to well. I heard a vixen screaming her head off just as I was about to give up. I moved in and had eye contact but she is lamp shy. Another lamp shy. Knows a red lamp. Someone around here is going out of their way to educate fox's!

She ran in a wood. I gave it ten minutes and squealed. To my amazement she came running but as soon as that lamp hit her she stopped but in tall docs.  I didn't feel confident so let her be but " I'll be back"!

The mouse muncher.

Now to eat my words! I failed. Up at the chicken ranch I failed.

I got to shed1 just to witness a large fox approaching the veranda. It knew what a lamp is also and retreated.

No dice there. So I retreated and returned half an hour later to find a smaller fox doing the same thing.

That retreated but offered me a shot. I could see its head clearly as it was lay down checking everything out. At the shot I saw nothing and thought it had gone straight down into the grass but I can't find a thing!

So now I have educated one to avoid red light however they see it! What a tit! ?‍♂️

Fed up and tired now. But at least I have some fox's  to torment me again for weeks and weeks and weeks!

Try the green SD , you might be surprised ?

Atb mate

Yes foxes are red green colour blind. At a guess it's seeing some residual white light through the filter (i doubt there's 100% conversion) with a filter rather than a pure red light source. Options here might be to use a red LED bulb (maybe still plus filter) (try to get the specs and make sure the spectrum of emmission is tight around the main visible red wavelengths (635-650nm)), or alternatively try a green filter with the existing light as suggested above in the hope of better conversion.

No filters. LED.

Just under 100yds in the bib. It ran nearly 100 yards and needed a finisher. I don't like these 17gn bullets! I'm a 20gn fan but I'll use these up.
