perch is far better than pike! though the continentals seem to like pike! zander is very perch like too!

 

perch: breadcrumb and fry fillets,or cook fillets as plaice under the grill,with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of sea salt,serve with midi potato's ,peas and a watercress sauce yummmmmmm!
