Mr Wilkes 3,066
Out early this morning, squirrels galore, the pup messed up more shots than I’d care to say, but it’s all a learning curve for the little fella. Didn’t do too bad with two squirrels and a carrion crow using the scout lt 1745 dankung tubes and 11 mm steel. 9

Buy a pack of little karibeana s and put them on the end of your leads mate, quick and easier to get the dogs on and off and the one on the hand end I quickly clip on a belt loop giving me control over two dogs and hands free for the shot, great for walking in the park and getting a few crafty shots off as well
Greyman 29,044
Back on the mr Wilkes yew fork for this mornings walk, two peach shots one lost in thick cover one dug out of thick cover by the terrier 10mm steels and both dropped like rocks

Greyman 29,044
Don’t no if I had to good a winter last year but am seeing very few squirrels about so far this year, was getting one or two per walk last year have only seen one in the last month, though the dogs were marking a tree for me this morning but there were to many people around for me to have a proper go for it

Mr Wilkes 3,066
Sounds like your too good a shot Greyman the good thing about squirrels is that they will always fill a void. I killed a lot of squirrels in two woods this summer and rarely see one in either now but 1/4 mile away in a large oak wood (80ft + trees) I counted 33 other day. They will make their way down to these two woods in time.
