dogman1989 0
Just wondering what people use for bedding for the dogs and if anyone has heaters in or heat lamps on ? Quote Link to post
Igz 1,456
I use heat lamps mate but only when temps drop to about 6/7 degrees outside and just night time unless minus and below outside I’ll put it on a timer to come on for an hour here and there. Never really had one that lasts though to be honest. A lot of the bulbs seem to blow in them then you can’t unscrew bulb. Probably there way of getting you to buy new one but. If anyone knows of ones from a certain place don’t do this. Let me know as need to buy two myself as last two done same. Wasn’t cheap ones eithier I’m sure I pay about 40 quid each and think I went through three last season. Quote Link to post

vfr400boy 3,456
I used wax paper last year and was very happy with it , trying tea bag paper at the moment but it is blowing around the yard a lot more, so will probably go back to wax paper 1 Quote Link to post

thefensarefarbutistillgo 2,482
I will second that, them ceramic bulbs are the best, if you get the 230 watt ones they chuck out some heat and give off no light which is a bonus, would you like to try and sleep with a big light shining in your eyes lol, there also cheaper to run than infa red 1 Quote Link to post

I’m going to put the tube heater in the she and run the ducting under the dog box floors through the side of the shed then fit the tube heater half way in the ducting. The heat will travel though the ducting like under floor heating into the dogs boxes and heating the shed at the same time. 1 Quote Link to post
