WILF 46,811
This type here, always for sale in Irish towns. Don’t worry about any rust, it cleans off and as soon as it’s back in use it seasons itself. You can cook long, low and slow too because they retain heat much better than almost anything else. Ken's Deputy 4,459
That's cast iron, isn't it? Fukk, no! Septics like their cast iron. Granted, more 'skillets' than pots. Very complicated business. No, I'm actually a little bit OCD about needing to follow a given instruction. Put simply? Monkey see, monkey do. Or else monkey gets confused and ends up wondering if what he's made is anything like it's supposed to be. I'll follow the " Al's Kitchen " recipes to the letter. That's why I've bought a blender just like his. Now, I have the same pot. Come to think of it? God knows what else I may have to buy yet, to follow him. I only have one other pot in the place! I can see a fukking frying pan hitting the list soon. I eat my dinners out of my one!

I'm determined to follow Al's recipe to the letter. Found a nice one. A score. " Tower ". Good, British make? Then, on a nasty little hunch ..... Made In China!!! Fukk them! Found a lovely looking one, fifty quid. Name I didn't know ..... Googled like fukk. Eventually pinned it down. Kuntz! Absolutely top of the range is the only english made available now. £120+? I was tempted! Getting desperate! Finally cracked it! Italian made. Bloody good make, apparently, without getting into the realms of hand made, life time guaranteed shit. What good's a fukking life time guarantee to me?! Start buying up an array of spices next. Biggest problem is? I genuinely haven't got a clue what all these different curry names mean! And, the name denotes which spices to use. Never mind. My plan is to make a shit ton of this " Basic Gravy ". Freeze the lot in a square bucket. Then, tip it out and have at it with my reciprocating saw! Cut it up into 'portions'. Bag them and throw 'em back in the freezer! How clever's that? Beat the fukk out of buying tons of little boxes. Or trying to dollop the wet stuff into bags I enjoy my life! You seem to be going to a lot of trouble not buying anything foreign to eat a f***ing curry! If your that way inclined make a hotpot or fish and chips!

Ken's Deputy 4,459
Who's the fukker who suggested Red Lentils, a while back?! Fukk my old socks! I remembered them today. Snatched the last pack available without thought or hesitation. Fukking Nine Quid the Kilo!!! Jesus Fukking Wept!!! Are they grown in gold dust, watered by virgins tears, or something?! Fukking Hell!!! Nine Fukking Quid! Anyway; Slung a 'Handful' into my curry, just now. Absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Forgot to ask and it was a bit late as I was ready to switch the EPC on. See my recent conversation with Wilf; I like to be given Extreme instructions. " Handful ". WTF does that even mean? Little girl or Peter Shilton both have hands. Anyway ... Just letting off steam - as will be the EPC in half an hour. Wonder how this one'll turn out? Half a mug of water, max. To account for the lentils. 1/4 cup is fine, otherwise. Fingers crossed. Ken's Deputy 4,459
That's what I'm trying to avoid, mate! As I said to someone only yesterday; " If you were served one of mine in a restaurant? You'd fukking throw it at them! " (I would!) Current mission is to find a set of those measuring scoops / spoons Not Made In China!!! As I've already told you; I'm fukking ocd about shit like this. I'd Agonise over what constitutes " A Teaspoon ". And saying " A Pinch " or " A Sprinkling " is fukking fighting talk! Had quite a windy uppy day. Might fukk off and start a ranting thread about buying chink shit! I feel the need to vent

Ken's Deputy 4,459
Ahh, the moment's passed, Hams. I've just come in from a Very satisfactory session with the tools. Dog cage could be done by the new week. Then, I can finally moody into the scary nightmare which is to be my turtles new enclosure. Christ, I ache! All that drilling, I expect. Just sitting down with a beer now. Feeling quite righteous. By the way; Curries ... Those red lentils most definitely had a hard defined effect on that curry! I can't see any sign of them. So, I suppose they dissolve? Guess that's what makes the curry stodgier? Anyway, yeah. Good work. (Still brutally fukking expensive though!) Just let me have another sniff around Amazon, and I'm sure I'll come back foaming at the mouth about them and their slitty eyed, dog torturing, nasty, little yellow kunt friends. I think I'll be scouring the world for an ali' frying pan. And, maybe a fukking Display Cabinet, to put my pride and joy kitchen utensils in! 1
WILF 46,811
Next stop, the salt !!........if you are going to get serious about your cooking it has to be Maldon Sea Salt. They have also started doing Achill Island sea salt, it’s decent but it’s not as good as Maldon

Ken's Deputy 4,459
You fukking mind reader, Wilf!!! Only in the last hour I've sat here, googling for some spices. I see Al' bunging a bit of salt in, most times? " Salt? " I thought. " Oh well, don't have to worry about That, at least. Salt's salt. I grab what ever's in the convy store. " Now, I see, shits gonna get seriously salty! Honestly, if you guys knew Half of how seriously I'm taking all this? The Money I'm throwing at it? I'd might as well have a top Indian curry chef on standby to knock me one up! I'm quite content with a tin of corned beef and some frozen chips. This has become a matter of fukking Principle!
Ken's Deputy 4,459
Research done. Himalayan Pink it shall be! I Love the sound of the Cyprus Smoked! But, who ever heard of putting smoke in a curry? (I'm fukking mad for smoked stuff though! Got my Smokey pig chop powder. Love that!)
