Iv got a set of lyte roofing ladders but there a nightmare to get on a roof yourself, waste of f***ing money.

Nearly knocked myself of the ladders when I couldn't get the roofing ladder onto the roof as it's to heavy.

I want to build a one tier roof ladder out of wood, an make it as light as possible, iv been working on roofs years, it's just to get me on the roof to manouvere it won't be holding much weight, probably 75kg.

Anyone built one or have an idea?

Balsa wood ,Francie pal that's the way to go nice n light good look

If you're dead set on DIY, making a lightweight wood ladder could work if it’s only for quick access and won’t be holding much weight. A mate of mine built a simple one-tier ladder from lightweight timber, kept it narrow, and added an old hook to the top for stability. Worked pretty well for him.
If you’re looking for something that’ll save you from the DIY hassle and give you a solid setup, lightweight ladders with wheels might be worth considering.
