oxo 441
Read on another site he is in intensive care, one of my favourite fighters back in the day. Saw a photo of him a while back and he had put a lot of weight on and suffered a heart attack. Get well soon champ.
Greb147 6,809
Can't believe my old man gave my brother that middle name cos he was born in the early hours after the night he beat Donald Curry. A shame for the fella, hope he pulls through.
shaaark 10,704
A favourite of mine, the raggamuffin man. Can't remember him being in a bad/boring fight. Good luck to him
Greb147 6,809
The infamous Panama Lewis has just died as well, one of the shadiest men to ever grace the sport of boxing. I don't think he will be missed by many tbh. Edited September 20, 2020 by Greb147

I'm nearly 6ft 2 myself so he must be at least 6ft 4, his bone structure was huge though especially his gret f***ing head and hands.

WILF 46,634
He was one of my favourite boxers back when he was fighting, he was a funny bloke. I could be wrong but didn’t he suffer with fragile hands, kept breaking them ?......maybe I’m dreaming that up. Anyway, I felt a bit sad when I read this as you tend to do when high profile people who you liked in your youth get in a bad way......hope he makes a full recovery Edited September 21, 2020 by WILF

He was still fighting at the time. Came over to the minibus we was in, chatting away and handing out photos. Lovely fella.... Re: the "Beckett" did you know the fella who ran it? Gary Davidson, ex pro, lightweight or something similar...was training with his son last year, none too shabby himself, runs a gym out Cambridge way... Yokel
