ryaldinhio 4,738
I've been off facebook for 12yrs, recently signed back in to do a business page. I was invited into a couple of hunting groups so joined them. People been posting bags since August. 40s 50s 100s 200s. f***ing mental. Nettles not even died back yet. No wonder most can't get a run if they are doing this all summer. Not many have a freezer or buyer that will take 200+ bunnies. Has everyone lost any sense???? Or is it now just a case of 'if I don't get em all someone else will get em'. If I go out and get half a dozen I'm over the moon. That's enough for the day whether that takes me 10hours or 10minutes. I know pest control is different but some of these are just at it for the numbers and the pics/likes on fuckBook. There will be no longevity in this game. People posting the stuff they do loading the guns for the antis, all hunting will soon be shut down.

pesky1972 5,334
Like everything else now, social media has changed the world. It’s become competition and a copy-cat thing where grandiose narcissism is the new norm. For me, these types of pictures are the olden days equivalent of lining up 100 dead rabbits on the high street, face beaming, saying ‘look at me, I’m a great hunter’. It’s bound to piss off some people, so why do it? Whatever happened to just going about your business quietly.
Qbgrey 4,139
Our pubs like that i must be the only person who gets 0,2,3,5 rabbits on a quick 2,3hr mooch.and don't get me going on the pigeon boys, why, why do they always get over 100.had a old guy report back to the farmer who use a large field for wheat, that he shot over 300,I said to farmers "do you really believe that"he said yes.i can tell you thiers no more that 20 rabbits in that field.all lamp shy as hell. 1

steve66 3,555
Sadly common sense isn't so common, people taking large bags of rabbits in the summer when they should be left to breed unless it's for pest control reasons, then wondering why numbers are declining. No appreciation of there quarry just want to look good on fb Edited September 17, 2020 by steve66
gnipper 6,527
There's nobody taking big bags round here thats for sure, they say hedgehogs are endangered but there's more of them around than rabbits.

I used to put up ferreting posts with great pics my mate SeanC takes as hes a pro photographer.. We had a few good days and the posts were well received... I dont bother anymore as like you say it is fuel to the fire, it's a shame as there were some great hunting related posts on here years ago, it may be a bit egotistical I suppose, but hopefully it never came over like that..

Mate, people like you posting on here is what kicked me on to get into it properly and now I love it. It's a shame that this site isn't what it used to be 4/5yrs ago. Used to be some really good content to read, especially for those learning which I was and still am. Now a lot of the good ones have gone and those that are left don't want to post and instead hang on the periphery with odd comment. You can get some good advice as I did pre pup, from a few on here (DC, Katchum etc) but everyone is cagey and rightly so because there is more negative to positive nowadays. I met one of my best friends through this site. Dont doubt there is some great fellas on here with similar interests but as in real life everyone is so guarded now so I can't see that happening again. Its sad, just sad.

Why do they feel the need to post emojis like this and pics to match the emojis.and that's all under there real name
