Can he just stick them in some big bucket pots an grow em till big enough to plant out? Gonna grab some an let’s plant em, some big ole oaks about here I’ll grab some off Yeah I have an Oak at the top of the garden, the acorns fall and up little Oak's come every where. I'm very fond of the Oak tree myself and read an interesting book about them. I wanted to put an evergreen Oak were I put my lads ashes on the side of the river Dart. It's a permission I've had for over 50 years and spent many many hour Ferreting and Shooting with him there. Any way reading this book and apparently "Dart"in old English means Oak, so had to be done. So on a mound between two woods over looking the river I put his ashes and planted a Holm Oak. It was only a little whip about as around as a pencil, now must be getting on 30 foot tall. Cheers Arry 23

I had an idea to grow and plant loads of fruit trees about the valley especially on well used trails/paths when I was living in Wales. But moved from there now.but thought it would be nice to walk around the place in summer and find plenty of fruit to pick..

I used to see loads of newly growing holly trees a foot or so big all along the forestry's about 10/20ft in almost in a long line.it must be the small birds felling safe just sitting in there shitting the berrys them out. Handy to know if you are interested in growing a holly hedge etc.as they are all free.
