Progress is inevitable. AI gives a clear military advantage and so those that don't embrace it will be disadvantaged in combat. Hence inevitable....

Imagine 200yrs ago sitting around a camp fire and someone staring at the sky said 1 day man will be up there in a machine going around the world. You would think he was crazy. 
but he would of been spot on.

Some colleagues went on a machine learning course a while back. Before they left I said "just learn their weakness and let me know how to kill them when they rise..."
