Implanted augmented reality?

How long are we away before this becomes a reality, where we are all equally intelligent because of A.I?

Just imagine the possibilities and scenarios, no need for a TomTom when travelling to an unknown destination, the A.I implanted in your brain will get you there whilst finding you a nice Italian restaurant on your travels.

What if on the journey your kids want to listen to Justin Bieber but you hate him? No problem you can listen to Bach while your wife has a sleep in silence.

Need to order some materials at work but you can't work out the costs and quantities because the QS is on holiday, fear not because any sum will be solved in an instant inside your own mind.

You've always wanted to go on Pop Master but are reluctant to because you don't know Gareth Gates from Bill Gates, well you are guaranteed to get a perfect score.

This will eventually change life as we know it and once it begins there will be no turning back.

I hate what the future likely holds in many respects. But progress is an inevitability and it's better to become a technological lifeform than be replaced by one..... maybe, lol. I'd rather go ba

Basically we will be living robots. ?

Honestly though this will happen, it's just a question of when IMO.

It will begin in the medical industry to aide people with disabilities and mental illnesses and then become fashionable to the rich & famous and so on.

I'd rather go back 20k years than forward 1000.

It will be a case of it becoming a necessity or else you will cease to exist in any meaningful way.

We are becoming increasingly isolated from people and even our own families, its horrible to even contemplate such things but would that spell the end of them?

There will likely be groups who shun the technology and possibly even survive long term but you only have to look at how modern technology is a necessity for success in society. For the most part if you were to shun the mobile phone, laptop and digital banking from your life you would be at an extreme disadvantage.

Worse still is how social media has now gone the same way. Those who don't have a social media presence are finding themselves more and more isolated.

It's basic adaptation and survival of the fittest. Those who embrace these technologies will have a huge advantage over those that don't.

I hate it.

Yes that's how I see it and I don't like the thought either but once you get on the train you won't have time to feel remorse or regret.

I can also envisage future repercussions at some point, what they'll be is anyone's guess.

I knew someone would have to point out an exception to the trend. LOL

You do have a social media presence, you're on this forum. But my point was that in today's world it's getting to a point where not having one is holding people back. It's literally only just started in the last 5-10 yrs I'd say.

You will love living like this mate.

This video is how we are imagining it now, I think the reality of it will be less cluttered and much more seamless.
