or drive through the hedges costing the land owner 1000,s

Pav don't let this thread get to you. A minor debate about whether or not something is vermin, is well minor. It doesn't detract from the wonderful night out or your spoils from that pest control outing. You did a wonderful job controlling the pests and got a hare as well. See it for what it is.

Yep hares are classed as game and as such cant be taken on a Sunday or Christmas  Day in England and Wales , Scotland differs. I wouldn't have taken your pic down but I do understand that posting pics of hares always creates friction from the dog man fraternity.  When you say they are vermin I think you mean that is how some farmers see them but legally they are game.

writen permission signed by all of them before you can shoot them

I like there photos

it was shot

but with 4 or 5 dogs in the back ground

and the photo is in the middle of the night

when you cant lamp them with ether gun or dog

?
